1 The problem
Nothing on the market fitted a gaming pub and TCG vendor.
So bookings lived in a paper diary and a pile of messages, and events had no system at all. Easy to double-book a table.
2 Bookings
Every booking lands on a real table.
Customers book online, and each booking sits on a map of the venue, with the kitchen’s hours built in.
3 Clash wizard
A wizard that catches the clashes.
When an event and a booking want the same table, the clash wizard spots it and helps the team sort it before anyone turns up.
4 Events
Every event gets its own page.
Customers see what’s on, share it and mark their interest, so the team knows what’s drawing people in.
5 Tickets and refunds
Tickets sold direct. Refunds sorted too.
Paid events take payment straight to Mystery Tavern, and refunds are handled from the same place.
6 Behind the bar
A terminal behind the bar.
The team sees tonight’s bookings, events and tickets at a glance, right where they’re serving.
7 Blog and analytics
Its own news, and the numbers behind it.
Mystery Tavern writes its own blog, and the analytics show which pages and events people actually look at.
8 How it connects
One system, not a stack of apps.
A booking, an event, a ticket and a refund all land in the same place, so nothing gets typed in twice.
9 What changed
A revenue stream that didn’t exist.
Mystery Tavern sells tickets to its own events now, from its own site. Every event is another reason to come in.
